The Colne Valley Flower Club held their AGM this month. The new president will be Maimie Lampon with Clare Heyes as chairman. Subscriptions, payable in February, are £21.A representative from The Acorn Village Trust received a cheque for £1,044
from the club's charity for 2008.
Mr Newenham, farm manager from Wilkin and Sons was welcomed to the meeting. He gave a most enlightening talk on the history of the jam factory in Tiptree.
