Pets' home from home

Bill & Karen McPherson are recent arrivals in West Bergholt and are delighted with their new choice of home and grateful to the many residents of the village who have made them so welcome.
They were also proud to be the first to be granted a licence by Colchester Borough Council to offer a 'dog home boarding' service for those pets that can't realistically cope with kennels. Their services are fully insured and both Bill & Karen have current police checks - if you would like to find out more about their services check their website by clicking on the picture.

84 Charing Cross Road

... is the title of the Orpen Players' spring production. The plot is based on real-life with a humorous script-reader in her New York apartment seeing an ad in the Saturday Review of Literature for a bookstore in London that does mail order. She begins a very special correspondence and friendship with Frank Doel, the bookseller who works at Marks & Co., 84 Charing Cross Road. The relationship lasted over 20 years without them ever actually meeting.

The box office at Ash's store Colchester Road opens on Saturday 18 April. Tickets are £5 for Thursday 30 April and £6 for Friday and Saturday, May1/2. Doors open 7.30pm curtain up 8pm.
